Futuremark updates the new 3DMark to v1.1.0

Fixes multi-GPU issues, adds Ice Storm Extreme test

Futuremark has updated its 3DMark benchmarking utility to v1.1.0 bringing fixes for multi-GPU systems and adding Ice Storm Extreme test to Windows edition of the benchmark.
According to release notes, the problem with three or four GPUs was quite serious but Futuremark finally managed to fix it which means that we will now see some quite impressive scores. The same release notes state that 3DMark scores will increase slightly on systems with two GPUs and significantly on systems with three or four GPUs.

The new version also brings the new Ice Storm Extreme benchmark test to the Windows editions of 3DMark Advanced and Professional Editions. The Ice Storm Extreme is a Direct3D feature level 9 benchmark test for Windows tablets, ultrabooks and notebooks. Ice Storm Extreme raises the rendering resolution from 720p to 1080p and uses higher quality textures and post-processing effects in the graphics tests to create a more demanding load for the latest mobile devices.

With the introduction of the new Ice Storm Extreme it will now be possible to directly compare results from Windows and Android devices.

The new version also fixes issues caused by the KB2670838 Windows update as well as a problem with the bloom post-processing effect when using very high rendering resolutions in custom settings.

As always, the new version is available in our download section while Steam Edition will be updated automatically.
