Acer working on 8-inch Windows-based tablet

Acer Iconia W3-810

Judging by the leaked pictures, Acer appears to be working on a Windows-based 8-inch tablet, the Acer Iconia W3-810.

There have been a lot of rumors regarding the upcoming "smaller", 7/8-inch Windows 8 based tablets and there was a couple of rumors that even Microsoft will come up with something in that range. It appears that Acer will actually be the first as its Iconia W3-810 tablet has been pictured online.

There are not many informations regarding the actual tablet, other than it might feature 7/8-inch screen, Windows 8 OS, dual-cameras and run on 1.8GHz Intel Atom CPU. According to pictures it should be available with various accessories including the keyboard dock.

Unfortunately, we'll still have to wait for the official release from Acer to see precise specifications of that screen, chip, other features that it would offer and, of course, the price.
