Ryzen Vega SoC Udoo Bolt starts shipping

Two models available

Udoo has announced that they are going to ship the first Bolt Ryzen SoC powered computers to its Kickstarter backers. If your order number is below 300, you might put your hands on the Bolt quite soon.


At the moment there are two models available: Bolt V3 and Bolt V8. The main difference between these models regard the processor and the graphics department. While the Bolt V3 comes with a dual core four thread CPU, the V8 features a faster processor with four core and eight thread. Furthermore there is a substantial difference on the graphics side as well, the Bolt V3 sports only 3 GPU computer units and his brother comes with 8 units.

Other than these specifications, everything else is the same when comparing the machines. They both feature two DDR4-2400 SODIMM slots supporting up to 32GB, M.2 SATA slot and PCIe expandability. On the storage side there is a 32GB EMMC drive pre-installed. The connection area is pretty interesting since include a Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 3.0 Type-A and two USB 3.1 Type-C ports. In addition there are two HDMI as video outputs.

Udoo Bolt is compatible with Arduino inputs and, Windows/Linux operating systems. On Kickstarter the Bolt V3 and V8 were listed at $229 and $279 respectively. The Udoo Shop prices might be higher when these products appear there in the coming weeks/months.
