Gigabyte shows C621 Aorus Xtreme motherboard

Compatible with massive Xeon W-3175X CPU

Gigabyte has finally revealed the first motherboard compatible with LGA3647 socket. This particular board comes with a whole bunch of features as well as an exceptionally good looking color scheme. Alongside with the ASUS Dominus Extreme, there are actually just two motherboards compatible with Xeon W-3175X CPU.


The C621 Aorus Xtreme is based on an EBB form factor. The motherboard draws power from two 24-pin power connectors and four 8-pin EPS connectors. Around the LGA3647 socket there are twelve DDR4 memory slots which are compatible with up to 192GB of memory. Both G.Skill and Corsair are ready with hexa-channel DDR4 memory kits.

Storage wise we find eight SATA ports, two M.2 slots underneath the huge PCH heatsink and one U.2 port. The Gigabyte C621 Aorus Xtreme also has up to seven PCIe 3.0 x16 expansion slots. In other words, the motherboard supports multi-GPU configurations (up to four graphics cards).

At a first glance this is certainly a good looking motherboard. In addition, the C621 Aorus Xtreme features 32 VRM power phases and a plethora of VRMs. The electrical components are cooled down by a massive heatsink. So far Gigabyte hasn't announced price and availability.
