The launch is just around the corner

The amount of leaks that NVIDIA and its AIB partners are increasing by the minute. This morning we saw that even more GTX 1660Ti variants are on the way to retailers. This time we have more details about an upcoming custom model from MSI.

A few hours ago have been released more informations about the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti. During the last days we have seen few pictures but most of them were renders. Today we have fresh pictures of a physical product on a bench. Furthermore there are in deep pictures of the PCB showing the circuit board and silicon.

According to the pictures, the TU116-400 from the GTX 1660Ti looks a bit smaller than the TU106-400 installed on the GeForce RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 graphics cards. While the package sizes are the same, the die area on the newer GPU is approx 60 per cent the size of the TU106-400. It's more compact due to the fewer CUDA cores in this design and the lack of RT cores. Furthermore, according to Techpowerup, the circuit boards unveils traces for eight memory chips across 256-bit memory bus.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti should be available next 22nd February.
