Corsair adds Hydro H100i Platinum SE CPU cooler

A variant of the H100i Platinum

Over the past years we have seen plenty of PC components that have received a white paint job. There were graphics cards, motherboards and even chassis. It looks like Corsair is even adding CPU coolers to that list. Compared to the Hydro H100i Platinum, the only difference is the color.

The Corsair Hydro H100i Platinum SE ships with an integrated fan controller, which is taking care of turning on and off the fans once coolant temperatures drop below a certain threshold, thus enabling “zero RPM fan mode”. Basically this allows for semi-passive operation as we’ve come to know and like it from pixel accelerators since quite a few years.

A closer look at the H100i Platinum SE reveals the same octagonally-shaped pump block we find with the H100i Platinum. Included in the delivery are two 120mm fans which feature RGB lighting. Apparently two 120mm fans ask for a 240 x 120mm radiator which is the next item included in the package, while it’s rounded-off with mounting kits supporting LGA2066, LGA115x and AM4.

The Corsair Hydro H100i Platinum SE should be available next week and at the moment there aren't details on the price. We hope to a see a 360mm version as well in the near future.
