be quiet! unveils Dark Base 700 White Edition

With modular design

be quiet! has revealed a new limited edition chassis for their loyal fanbase, which is a special version of their their Dark Base 700. The Dark Base 700 is a rather small mid-tower chassis that's been made from SECC steel and aluminium. Compared to the regular version, be quiet! has changed the color and added a case badge that numbers the chassis. This case will be limited to 3'000 units.

The Dark Base 700 measures 544 x 241 x 519mm with a net weight of 13Kg and classifies as a mid-tower. The case comes with a simple and sleek design and there are no doors or special air-vents on this model. Everything is kept in a classic and clean way.

On the inside there is space for ATX, micro-ATX or mini-ITX motherboards. Cooling wise there is space for two large radiators (360mm) that can be mounted in the front or in the top. There is also enough space for high-end tower coolers, which can measure up to 180mm in height.

The internal layout is well-thought. You can install up to seven HDDs or seventeen SSDs. Furthermore there are two pre-installed Silent Wings 3 fans measuring 140mm in diameter. What's nice to see is that there is even a little fan controller to manually adjust rotation speeds.

The Dark Base 700 should become available during February and it’s supposed to cost 189 Euro.
