MSI launches their GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Lightning

Carbon fiber everywhere

MSI has launched their iconic Lightning graphics card, presenting the company's most powerful RTX 2080 Ti graphics card to date. At the moment is unclear if it will be available in limited numbers or not.

The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z sports a rather big cooler with carbon fiber design with gold accents. On the cooler there are three Torx 3.0 fans with double ball bearings to provide the graphics card with active cooling. The middle fan lacks RGB lighting while the other two fans come with tiny RGB LEDs. Furthermore there is a carbon fiber backplate which gives the graphics card a premium feel.

According to the pictures, the card looks rather big and requires up to three PCI slots and for this reason MSI includes in the delivery a GPU bracket. The graphics card comes with a customized PCB with 19-phase power design and 60A power stages. On the GPU shroud there is even a small customizable OLED (Dynamic Dashboard OLED) panel where users can monitor its vitals, such as the operating clocks, voltages, and temperatures. Regarding the I/O ports, we found three DisplayPort, one HDMI and one USB Type-C.

The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z will be available during the next months but MSI hasn't revealed its pricing yet.
