Gigabyte releases external RTX 2070

Called Aorus RTX 2070 Gaming Box

External graphics card docks are not that common however several manufacturers are unveiled these boxes lately. The box not only comes pre-packed with an ITX graphics card but it's also one of the smallest external GPU cases out there. Today the company is ready to announce a powerful model based on RTX 2070 graphics cards.

The box itself looks barely larger than some RTX 2070 cards. Inside the Gaming Box there is a GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card and a 450W power supply. Thanks to the punchy power supply, the Gaming Box can power the graphics card and three USB 3.0 devices. Furthermore one of the USB ports supports quick charging too. Since the PSU is rated 80 Plus Gold, it’s not going to waste too much energy.

Although the graphics card itself comes with a some sort of lighting as well, the enclosure includes RGB LEDs, which can be configured using Gigabyte's RGB Fusion app. The rear part of the box also comes with a set of useful connectors. There are the four USB 3.0 ports, we already mentioned, one Thunderbolt 3, one HDMI and three DisplayPort connectors.

Gigabyte hasn't come forward with details on pricing and availability yet, but we certainly keep you posted if there are updates.
