AMD rumored to have less than 5000 Radeon VII GPUs

Shortage already?

During the CES 2019, AMD revealed their Radeon VII graphics card, making them the first company to unveil a 7nm gaming graphics card. The price tag is set to $699 and the card should be available during next month. However according to latest rumors, the Radeon VII will have a smaller launch than expected.

According to TweakTown, AMD will launch with "less than 5000" Radeon VII graphics cards. Furthermore, several sources are reporting that AMD will lose money on every graphics card sold. In addition we will not see custom variants anytime soon but this rumor hasn't been confirmed by any of AMD's AIB partners.

As always, take rumours like this with a grain of salt since Tweaktown's source might be incorrect. Since the launch is expected on next 7th February we have just to wait few weeks.
