be quiet! unveils Dark Base 700 White Edition

With modular design

During the CES 2019, be quiet! has revealed a new limited edition chassis for their loyal fanbase, a variant of their Dark Base 700. The Dark Base 700 is a rather small mid-tower chassis that's been made from SECC steel and aluminium. Compared to the regular version, be quiet! has changed the color and added a case badge that numbers the chassis. This case will be limited to 3'000 units.

The Dark Base 700 measures 544 x 241 x 519mm with a net weight of 13Kg and classifies as a mid-tower. The case comes with a simple and sleek design and there are no doors or special air-vents on this model. Everything is kept in a classic and clean way.

On the inside there is space for ATX, micro-ATX or mini-ITX motherboard. Cooling wise there is space for two big radiators (360mm) that could be mounted in the front or in the top. There is also enough space for high-end tower coolers, which can measure up to 180mm in height.

The internal layout is quite simple and straightforward. You can install up to seven HDDs or seventeen 2.5" SSDs. Furthermore there are two pre-installed Silent Wings 3 fans measuring 140mm in diameter. What's nice to see is that there is even a little fan controller to manually adjust rotation speeds.

The Dark Base 700 should already be available in February for a suggested price of 189 Euro.
