ViewSonic introduces XG240R monitor

144Hz, 1ms and AMD FreeSync

ViewSonic already has a vast portfolio of displays and with the XG240R the vendor is launching yet another full HD model. The 24-inch panel supports 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution at a refresh rate of 144Hz, which makes this particular display relevant for playing fast first person shooters.

As we already mentioned the XG240R monitor has been equipped with a 24-inch panel and 1920 x 1080 Pixel resolution with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The TN panel sports a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 350 cd/m2 brightness. ViewSonic is marketing this display as a gaming monitor and it supports AMD FreeSync.

A quick look at the connectors reveals two HDMI 1.4 and one DisplayPort 1.2a connector. On top of that there is a very well-built thin frame and the stand allows for pan, tilt, swivel and height adjustment. Furthermore, the XG240R comes with two RGB lights placed behind the panel, which can be synced with other peripherals.

The XG240R is slowly becoming available worldwide at a price of $272.99 US.
