First rumors about Ryzen 3000 processors

The youtuber AdoreTV has come across a few interesting details about the upcoming AMD Ryzen 3000 series of processors. According the first informations, we can expect up to ten new models. Matisse, which is the successor's code name, is supposed to be manufactured using 14nm technology.

The images show that AMD might release Ryzen 3000 processors during next months maybe around upcoming CES 2019. According to the pictures, Ryzen 3000 will change the current design and we might see up to 16/32 core/thread CPUs. During the last days we have seen the first rumors about the upcoming AMD X570 motherboards and we expect to see first images as well quite soon. As you might know, the upcoming CPUs should be backward compatible with current motherboards.

The upcoming lineup will include no more than ten SKUs initially. These include the flagship Ryzen 9 3850X, Ryzen 9 3800X, Ryzen 7 3700X, followed by the Ryzen 7 3700, the Ryzen 5 3600X, Ryzen 5 3600G and the Ryzen 5 3600. Last but not least there should be three more Ryzen 3 CPUs: the Ryzen 3 3300G, Ryzen 3 3300X and, Ryzen 3 3300 processors. According to the pictures, the flagship Ryzen 9 3850X which sports 16 core and 32 thread should be priced at $499 USD which is -more or less- the launching price of the Intel Core i9-9900K that comes with half cores/threads.
