NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 has been spotted

In Final Fantasy XV database

Currently the GeForce RTX lineup consists of three high-end models. Meanwhile it looks like the fourth model is just around the corner, since the first benchmark values have surfaced, whereas the leak comes from the Final Fantasy XV database.

According to the latest rumors, the performance appears to be a decent improvement compared to the GTX 1060 6GB. With the 4K high preset, the “RTX” 2060 scores 2589 points without the DLSS option. By comparison, the GTX 1060 scores 1985, the GTX 1070 scores 2749, and the RTX 2070 manages 3927. In other words, the upcoming “RTX” 2060 appears to be 30% faster than the previous generation. At the moment it's hard to say what NVIDIA is going to come up with in the case of the “RTX” 2060. The company might use yet another version of the TU106 chip or a totally new piece of silicon.

What we don't know is how much it will cost and when it’s about to be released. With the Radeon RX 590, AMD has released a graphics card that is 12% faster than the GeForce 1060 6GB. The “RTX” 2060 might change the game in the mid-range sector again, reclaim the performance crown. In order to do that, the company should price the card around $300 USD. Currently it looks like NVIDIA could release this card either somewhen in December or at the 2019 CES.
