Gigabyte unveils AORUS RTX 2080 Aorus Xtreme WaterForce

With 240mm radiator

Gigabyte already has a wide portfolio when it comes to graphics cards but that didn’t stop them from teasing yet another model. The new card is going to belong to the AORUS line again, and goes by the name "GeForce RTX 2080 AORUS Aorus Xtreme WaterForce".

The Aorus Xtreme WaterForce from Gigabyte has been equipped with an all-in-one cooler and usually there is a reference PCB on these cards from Gigabyte. Unlike other models based on an all-in-one cooler, the RTX 2080 Aorus Xtreme WaterForce uses a copper waterblock for the GPU and the memory modules. On top of that there is an aluminum heatsink, connected via a heatpipe to the main block, that covers other parts of the card as well. Last but not least there is a 240mm radiator with two RGB fans pre-installed.

While the RTX 2080 Founders Edition can hit 1800MHz on Boost frequencies, the Gigabyte RTX 2080 Aorus Xtreme WaterForce reaches up to 1890MHz on bht Boost clock. Due to the capable cooler and the factory overclock, the Gigabyte RTX 2080 Aorus Xtreme WaterForce should provide excellent gaming performance. The memory is also overclocked too but only 140MHz.

Since all the latest Gigabyte Aorus products have been equipped with an armada of LEDs for RGB lighting, also on this graphics card there are several LEDs on both sides of the PCB. According to the vendor the RTX 2080 AORUS Aorus Xtreme WaterForce comes with premium-grade chokes and capacitors for increased lifespan. In the case of the connectors, the card packs a whopping six outputs, including three DisplayPorts, three HDMI ports and one USB 3.1 Type-C connector.

So far Gigabyte has not revealed any details on pricing and availability regarding their RTX 2080 Aorus Xtreme WaterForce graphics card.
