We will test it soon

ASRock with the Z390 motherboards have refreshed the portfolio quite a bit. For example we see for the first time the Phantom Gaming series of motherboards which replace the Fatal1ty series. Furthermore the company adds two Taichi motherboards and few Extreme models. A couple of days ago we have received the Z390 Taichi Ultimate and we have created our gallery.

With the Z390 Taichi and Taichi Ultimate, ASRock adds two motherboards based on a similar PCB. What differs is the ethernet solution and a onboard buttons. These two models feature an ATX form factor with four DDR4 DIMM slots. Both motherboards feature three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots. Storage wise there are three M.2 slots and eight SATA ports. Compared to the previous series we see different heat sinks but the same color scheme.

Looking for additional features we find a debug display, several onboard buttons and support for USB 3.1 ports. ASRock equips the Z390 Taichi Ultimate with one PS/2 port and eight USB 3.1 ports. Furthermore there are three Gigabit Ethernet ports and the analogue audio panel with optical out.

At a first glance this is certainly a good looking motherboard and the price is similar to the previous model (around 300 euro).
