Intel Optane 905P SSDs appear online

With EKWB heat sink

Almost one year ago, Intel has shown the Optane 900P SSDs which was limited to two models. Now, almost one year later, the company has released a new version which feature three form factors and up to 1.5TB of capacity. Furthermore, Intel has improved the design and cooling on the M.2 version adding EKWB heat sink.

At the moment there are six models available on Newegg: two Optane 905P that fits into a PCIe x4 slot with add-in-card, three 2.5" SSD versions with a U.2 connector and one M.2 unit. The Optane 905P AIC is available with 960GB and 1.5TB of capacity and it costs $1'119 USD and 2'097 USD respectively. The U.2 version comes in two sizes, ranging from 480GB up to 1.5TB. The starting price for this series is set to $519 USD and it goes up to $2'199 USD.

Last but not least we have one Intel Optane 905P SSD based on M.2 22110 form factor. At the moment this is the only M.2 unit available on the store. It sports 380GB of capacity and an aluminum cooling block with an EK logo slapped on top of it. The price of this unit is set to $500 USD.
