Be quiet! unveils Silent Base 601

With modular design

A few months ago be quiet! announced their Base Pro 900 revision 2 which is the company’s flagship model. Meanwhile the maker of cases and coolers is ready to show the Silent Base 601, which is a rather small mid-tower chassis that’s been made from SECC steel and ABS plastic.

The Silent Base 601 measures 532 x 240 x 481mm with a net weight of 11Kg and classifies as a mid-tower. The case comes with a simple and sleek design while there are no doors or special air-vents. Everything has been kept classic and clean. Cooling wise there is space for two 360mm radiators that could be mounted at the front or at the top. There is also enough space for high-end tower coolers, which can measure up to 185mm in height.

The internal layout is quite simple and straightforward. The Silent Base 601 is compatible with ATX motherboards and you can install up to three 3.5" HDDs and six 2.5" SSDs. If you need more space, you can buy additional cages and install up to 14 2.5" SSDs and seven 3.5" HDDs. Speaking about additional features, there is a small fan controller to manually adjust rotation speeds and 10mm thick noise-insulating foam.

The Silent Base 601 should already be available at local retailers for a suggested price of 129 Euro.
