Gigabyte unveils first B450 mini-ITX motherboard

Called Gigabyte B450i Aorus Pro WiFi

Already a few months ago, Gigabyte presented details on its upcoming mini-ITX models. Meanwhile, there are finally more details on the so called B450i Aorus Pro WiFi. For example it’s interesting to see that the Aorus brand got expanded down to the B-Series chipset.

The B450i Aorus Pro WiFi features a mini-ITX form factor with two DDR4 DIMM slots. On the storage side we find one M.2 slot, four straight SATA ports and two USB 3.1 Gen2 ports. Looking at expansion slots we find one PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 slot with metal reinforcements. In addition there is a Gigabit LAN chip as well as a 802.11ac WiFi module. Unlike the previous model, the B450i Aorus Pro WiFi packs a Realtek ALC1220-VB codec.

The motherboard supports AMD's entire Ryzen CPU lineup, including the 8-core Ryzen 7 2700X. According to Gigabyte, this motherboard will even support overclocking although at this time it's unknown if this compact board will limit the overclocking potential of AMDs Ryzen 7 CPUs.

So far Gigabyte has not revealed any details on pricing and availability regarding the B450i Aorus Pro WiFi but we can expect to see this board hit the store shelves relatively soon.
