Gigabyte adds B450 motherboards

Four models

Gigabyte has unveiled its motherboard lineup with a bunch of B450 motherboards. At the moment there are only available four models, two of them are based on micro-ATX form factor while the others two use full-size ATX. It's still unclear if the company will release a mini-ITX model as well during next weeks.

Like we mentioned above, those new motherboards include the full-size B450 Aorus Pro and B450 Aorus Pro WiFi, along with the B450 Aorus M and the B450M DS3H. The B450 Aorus Pro and Pro WiFi come with the same layout and design. The main difference between these two models regard the WiFi and Bluetooth module which are missing in the not-WiFi one.

The B450 Aorus Pro sports three full-sized PCIe 3.0/2.0 slots and only one of them comes with metal reinforcement. In the storage department we find six SATA ports and two M.2 slots allowing the installation of differently sized SSDs. The first M.2 slot is placed in the middle part of the motherboard and it's compatible with 2280 units, while the second one is close to the PCH area and it can accomodate 22110 units. In order to maintain the temperature on a reasonable level, Gigabyte offers two black heat sinks on both M.2 slots. Looking for additional features we find ALC1220-VB audio solution, Intel Gigabit LAN chip and a good mix of connectors at the I/O panel.

The B450 Aorus M is based on micro-ATX form factor and comes with two full-sized PCIe 3.0/2.0 slots and one PCIe x1 slot. If you are wondering how many SATA and M.2 devices you can use on this motherboard, you will be happy to know that you can install several HDDs or SSDs. Despite the rather compact size there are six SATA ports and one M.2 22110 slot. In order to keep the price low, Gigabyte uses Realtek ALC892 audio solution and Realtek GbE LAN chip.

Overall both models offer a good design and layout. The B450 Aorus Pro is available on Geizhals for 117 Euro (127 Euro for the WiFi version), while the B450 Aorus M costs 87 Euro. Last but not least we have the B450M DS3H and you can find more details about this motherboard on the link below. We have received this model few days ago and we have already published a news about it.
