NVIDIA confirms GeForce Gaming Celebration event

Ahead of Gamescom 2018

A few weeks ago, we started hearing whispers that NVIDIA was planning an event for late August, around the same time as Gamescom. This is probably where NVIDIA will launch its next-gen GeForce graphics cards. Now the company has confirmed the event which will be called "GeForce Gaming Celebration".

The GeForce Gaming Celebration promises to be "filled with awesome new PC games running on the latest GeForce hardware". This sentence doesn't confirm that we will see new graphics cards, however we are hoping for more than just some new games running on a GTX 1080 Ti. Another option is that NVIDIA will show PC demos with technologies like RTX, an AI Ray Tracing tool.

The event kicks off at 6PM and ends at 12AM CET on Monday the 20th of August at a secret location. The place will be close to Gamescom for sure but at the moment NVIDIA didn't reveal any details. Furthermore NVIDIA will have its own booth at Gamescom this year in Hall 10.1, Booth E-072.
