A few days ago, we have found the first specifications about the upcoming Intel 9th gen processors. The informations have been published from Coolaler and ComputerBase. According to the German site Golem, Intel on two high-end models might use solder instead of thermal pads under their heat spreaders.

First of all we have more details about the Turbo clock frequencies of upcoming CPUs. According to Golem, the mighty Intel Core i9-9900K might hit up to 4.7GHz on all cores and 5.0GHz on only one core. If you consider that the base clock is set to 3.6GHz, we believe that the Turbo frequency is rather promising. Furthermore there are more informations about the strange Core i7-9700K.

This chip might break the Core i7 tradition since it will be the first Core i7 without HyperThreading. The Core i7-9700K will pack eight core, a base clock of 3.6GHz and a Turbo clock set to 4.6GHz on all cores (4.9GHz on single core). What's more interesting about these chips regard the heat spreaders. According to latest rumors, Intel might move back to soldered integrated heatspreaders (IHS) for the Core i7-9700K and Core i9-9900K CPUs.

The soldered IHS could improve the thermal performances and overclocking headroom. Availability wise, these chips should be available in September right after the Gamescom.
