Leaked benchmark of upcoming Ryzen 3 2300X

Quad-core Ryzen 2000 CPU

AMD's Ryzen 2nd Generation CPU has been very successful since it offers a good improvement over the first generation. Furthermore the price is still rather low and reference CPU cooler is more capable.

Chiphell has posted a couple of screenshots regarding the upcoming Ryzen 3 2300X. While the first screenshot reveals the base clock, the second picture unveils a maximum TDP of 65 Watt. Furthermore the CPU has been pushed to 4.20GHz from 3.50GHz of the base clock. The Ryzen 3 2300X should replace current Ryzen 3 1300X that comes with a base clock speed of 3.50GHz and a maximum clock of 3.70GHz.

The site has posted a synthetic benchmark like Cinebench R15. Overall the upcoming Ryzen 3 2300X appears to be a good competitor of Core i3-8350K although the Intel chip looks always a bit faster. Anyway, we have to point out that the AMD chip has been tested with slower ram compared to the Intel chip.

According to latest rumors, AMD should launch both Ryzen 3 2300X and Ryzen 5 2500X CPUs alongside their B450 series of motherboards quite soon.
