Featuring 10-phase VRM

The H370 Gaming Pro Carbon from MSI is a mid-range motherboard that comes with a few interesting features. Compared to the previous model, which goes by the name H270 Gaming Pro Carbon, we see a similar color scheme - as the name suggests - but a reworked layout and a new design for all the heatsinks.

The H370 Gaming Pro Carbon is based on an ATX form factor, yet this time MSI is using all the space available on the PCB. Since this motherboard belongs to the Gaming series, there is RGB backlight underneath each heat sink and several LEDs. Furthermore there is one PCIe slot that has been reinforced with steel. In general the layout is quite simple and therefore it has also been equipped with two full-sized PCIe 3.0 x16 slots.

Storage wise, there are six SATA-III ports, two M.2 slots compatible with 22110 and 2280 units. Overall this motherboard looks rather similar to the Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon that we have reviewd a few months ago.

During the upcoming days we are going to test this motherboard with our Intel Core i7-8700K and update our motherboard charts.
