Roccat Vulcan mechanical gaming keyboard announced

With in-house mechanical switches

A few days ago Roccat announced its own in-house mechanical switches, the Titan switch. During the Computex, the company has unveiled a new gaming keyboard which feature the Titan switch. With the Vulcan, Roccat adds a rather interesting RGB gaming keyboard.

Before talking of the keyboard itself, we have to spend some words about the Titan switches. According to Roccat, the switches are both more swift and precise than Cherry MX switches. Specification wise, the Titan switches look very close to Cherry MX Brown switches. The actuation point is set to 1.8mm, they sport debounced switch contact, reinforced transparent housing and tuned firmware.

Furthermore there is a per-key RGB illumination powered by and synchronised with Roccat AIMO. The lighting looks particularly bright due to the keycap design. At the moment Roccat has shown three gaming keyboards based on Titan switches: Vulcan 80, Vulcan 100 AIMO and Vulcan 120 AIMO. While the Vulcan 80 comes with a blue illumination, the Vulcan 100 AIMO and Vulcan 120 AIMO sport RGB illumination.

The main difference between the two AIMO models is the detachable palm rest. Roccat says that the three different models will be available at the following price: the Vulcan 80 at €129.99, Vulcan 100 AIMO at €149.99, and Vulcan 120 AIMO at €159.99.
