ASUS ROG Strix announces GL503 and GL703 gaming notebooks

With Intel 8th Gen CPUs

It appears that ASUS will use six-core Coffee Lake-H processor inside the upcoming GL503 and GL703 gaming notebooks. While on the CPU side the company has made a big step forward, regarding the graphics side ASUS is going to use a GTX 1050Ti graphics card.


The main difference between this two models is about the display. While the GL503 comes with a 15.6-inch 120Hz FHD TN panel, the GL703 sports a 17.3-inch 60Hz FHD IPS panel. Like mentioned above, inside both gaming notebooks there is GTX 1050Ti graphics card.

Furthermore there is also an Intel Core i7-8750H or Core i5-8100H CPUs, up to 32GB of 2666MHz memory, one NVMe PCIe SSDs and a 1TB SATA SSHD. According to ASUS, you can remove the 2.5" HDD and replace it with another 2.5" SSD.

The ROG Strix GL703 and GL503 feature Aura lighting which become quite useful with the built-in keyboard with individual key lighting. Regarding the connectivity options, ASUS has equipped both laptops with Gigabit Ethernet connector, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, SD/MMC cards, HD Webcam and audio combo jacks. Furthermore there are three USB 3.1 Gen1 ports and one USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port. Last but not least there is a mini DisplayPort 1.2 paired with one HDMI 1.4 port.

At the moment there isn't any information about price or availability.
