NVIDIA unveils P102-100 cryptomining graphics cards

Same chip used on GTX 1080 Ti and Titan Xp GPUs

According to a report from CryptoMining-Blog.com, it looks like NVIDIA isn't finished with the P102 GPU. The company is going to release a graphics card based on the same chip that we can find on the GTX 1080 Ti and the Titan Xp GPUs. Like the P104-100 which can be found on several cryptomining graphics cards, the P102-100 will come with a custom memory configuration.

Inno3D will be manufacturing the new P102-100 mining accelerators, which will feature no video output connectors like other mining-specific cards. The upcoming Inno3D P102-100 might be a rather powerful mining card, capable of 47 MH/s mining Ethereum. According to our test without any further tweak, a GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition can hit 37 MH/s, while a Titan Xp SW Edition can reach 42 MH/s.

During this year we might see cryptomining graphics cards based on P102-100 chip and gaming graphics cards based on GA104 and GA106 chips. At this time is still unclear when NVIDIA will release the GTX 2080 and the GTX 2070. If the older P102-100 can pump out 47 MH/s, we are rather curious to see what a mining-focused GTX 20 series GPU can squeeze out with GDDR6 memory.
