AMD Ryzen Threadripper roadmap leaked

Up to 2020

Following the leak of AMD Ryzen 2000 slides, more details are coming up again. This time it's related to AMD's plans for the high-end desktop market. The leaked slides are courtesy of the Spanish website Informatica Cero. The documents show also some information regarding upcoming HEDT products.

The roadmap shows that AMD might release Threadripper 2 processors during next months and they will be based on 12nm Zen+ process. Although this isn't really surprising, AMD will bring support for Precision Boost 2.0 and highed clocks. At the moment there isn't any information regarding compatibility with current AMD X399 chipset. After Threadripper 2, AMD will work on "Castle Peak" in 2019.

This will be a huge bump for AMD's HEDT line since the company is going to move from 12nm to 7nm process. With "Castle Peak", AMD expect to be dominang in the HEDT market. This series of CPUs will be based on Zen 2 process. The leaked slide also confirms other AMD product segments. Right after "Castle Peak", we should see "Vermeer" aka Ryzen 4000 on the AM4 CPU front. Furthermore AMD will release "Renoir" for mobile and desktop APUs.
