AMD has recently announced Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G APUs, however the company might release two low power versions as well. According to several leaks on motherboard OEMs, AMD has developed two more Raven Ridge APUs with 35W TDP only.
The Ryzen 5 2400GE and Ryzen 3 2200GE have been spotted on the CPU compatibility lists of several AM4 motherboards. The upcoming chips have the same tier-branding, but they sport the suffix "GE" instead of "G". At the moment we haven't many information about this upcoming chips. According to ASRock official website, the Ryzen 5 2400GE and Ryzen 3 2200GE are both listed with a base clock of 3.20GHz.
Just for comparison reason, the Ryzen 5 2400G comes with a base clock of 3.60GHz, while the Ryzen 3 2200G sports 3.50GHz. It's not the first time that AMD releases two series of APUs on different stages. With Bristol Ridge APUs, AMD has released 35W A-series a year after their 65W siblings launched in 2016.
Since the 35W Bristol Ridge APUs are identical to the 65W versions except for their lower base and boost clock speeds, we expect something similar for Raven Ridge as well.
