AMD Vega 11 might not be a dedicated GPU

Rumored to be an APU

With the launch of AMD Vega line of graphics cards, many have speculated about potential mid-range and low-budget cards. This became known as Vega 11, which might actually be here sooner than you think, but not as discrete graphics card.

AMD's business development manager, as well as product manager for Ryzen Threadripper, James Prior took to an interview with OverclockersUK in order to shed some light on the mysterious GPU. According to James, Vega 11 might be Raven Ridge, Ryzen Mobile. With Raven Ridge, AMD offers a Ryzen Mobile processor paired with Vega graphics. In other words, Vega 11 isn't a discrete graphics product but it's baked into the CPU as APU.

At the moment AMD offers two APUs with its Ryzen Mobile 2500U and 2700U, with up to ten compute cores. Since James Prior doesn't work closely with graphics department he could be not in-the-know about the company's Vega updates, however he did a small statements about the production of Vega 56 and 64 GPUs. According to him, AMD will start pushing more on Vega 56 and Vega 64 graphics cards, producing more cards in order to answer to the current shortage.
