Lian Li announces the Alpha 330 case

A bit smaller than the Alpha 550

Lian Li has produced for decades high-end aluminum cases, now with the Alpha series the company is going in the opposite direction offering cases made out steel. The Alpha 330 is a mid-tower case which is compatible with E-ATX motherboard as well as extensive watercooling setup. Last week we reported on the company's Alpha 550 and over the weekend the company released the more-affordable Alpha 330.

The Alpha 330 is a mid-tower chassis that's been made from SECC and tempered glass. Like for the Alpha 550, on the Alpha 330 the tempered glass is used on all four sides while the main chassis is made out steel, basically the glass panels have been wrapped around a standard steel body. The Alpha 330 measures 523 x 240 x 503mm and classifies as a mid-tower.

On the inside there is space for E-ATX or ATX motherboards. Cooling wise there is space for one big radiator (360mm) that can be mounted in the front and for another massive radiator (420mm) on the top. In addition there is enough space for high-end tower coolers, which can measure up to 170mm in height. The internal layout is overall simple and straightforward, you can install up to two HDDs or five SSDs. At the front of the case, there are two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C port as well as standard HD audio jacks, alongside power and reset switches.

According to Lian Li, the Alpha 330 is going to be available with black or white color. Compared to the Alpha 550, the upcoming Alpha 330 should be cheaper since doesn't feature any RGB contoller.
