NVMe capable SSDs are growing increasingly popular these days, offering much higher transfer speeds than the usual SATA drive. New markets always offer new opportunities and that on the other hand means that different vendors will launch new products. During the Computex 2017, ADATA has shown new M.2 NVMe SSDs which are designed to offer a competitive price/performance ratio.



The budget oriented XPG SX6000 is based on Realtek's RTS5760 controller and uses 3D TLC NAND flash memory without DRAM caching. Talking about performance, sequentially reading this drive should hit up to 1'000MB/s and 800MB/s in the case of sequential writes. This may not be the fastest NVMe SSD on the market but it's still substantially faster than all existing SATA SSDs which are usually limited to 550 MB/s.

ADATA SX6000 is available with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacity and is backed by a 5 years of warranty plan. So far ADATA has not revealed any details on pricing and availability regarding their SX6000 SSD series.
