Thermaltake unveiled their new Toughpower iRGB Plus Platinum Series power supplies, that come with a pre-installed 140mm Riing RGB fan. This new PSU series feature 3 different SKUs and belongs to the TT Premium Edition family, ranging from 850 to 1200W of output power.
Thermaltake is mentioning that they're using highest quality components for these power supplies, such as 100% Japanese capacitors which should add to the durability and therefore allow for high stability and reliability. The vendor equips the Toughpower iRGB Plus Platinum series with one of their Riing 14 RGB fans that comes with five lighting modes and a built-in memory controller that remembers the user's last lighting mode selection after a shutdown.
Besides the RGB lightning, which a common feature these days, Thermaltake makes use of modular cable management and a multi rail design regarding the +12V rail design. Furthermore there is a modern DC-to-DC topology, active PFC, all the usual protections as well as an 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency rating. As mentioned before, these new PSUs will come with 850, 1050 and 1200W of output power. They will be equipped with up to eight 6+2-pin PCIe power connectors, twelve SATA power connectors and the standard 24-pin connector. Furthermore there are two 8-pin EPS power cables.
All units will measure 160mm in length meeting the standard ATX form factor. This is pretty impressive since usually the 1kW units exceed the ATX factor. Therefore these units are rather compact and most other power supplies with up to 1'200W measure about 180 millimeters.
The new Thermaltake Toughpower iRGB Plus Platinum Series should become available soon.
