Biostar has unveiled a new flagship motherboard, which is compatible with Intel’s Coffee Lake processors. Like the previous model this one features an entirely black color scheme with gold labels on the PCB. According to the manufacturer, the Racing GT7 should be the right motherboard for gamers, overclockers and content creators.
According to the specifications, the new Racing GT7 is based on an E-ATX form-factor with your standard four DIMM slots. Apart from that this appears to be a high-end model and there are a few nice features like for example the I/O cover as well as a bunch of PCIe 3.0 x16 slots.
Storage wise, this Biostar board sports six SATA ports but none of them have been angled which is a bit a pity considering that it’s supposed to be a high-end model. Between each full-sized PCIe slot there is a M.2 slot and the slots can hold a whole variety of M.2 drives, with the longest of them measuring 110mm, complying with the 22110 standard. Both M.2 slots are covered with a slim heat sink.
According to Biostar, the Racing GT7 should become available soon with an MSRP of $149.99 US.
