SiSoft Sandra database reveals Coffee Lake scores

Tested on an ASRock Z370 Pro4

Apparently the rumor mills are going crazy when it comes to Coffee Lake and according to the latest rumors, Intel might release this upcoming series in October. Apart from that, Coffee Lake is also supposed to require a new Z370 chipset. Meanwhile more information on the performance these six-core chips are capable of achieving appears to be making it through.

According to the SiSoft Sandra database the new chip from Intel clocks with 3.70GHz base and 4.3GHz boost clock. Apart from that there are 12MB of L3 cache, which translates into 2MB per core. It’s also to be expected that Coffee Lake will feature 14nm transistors. The results that are in the SiSoft Sandra database have been conducted using an ASRock Z370 Pro4 motherboard, which should belong to the vendor’s upcoming mid-range models. The results unveil the chips performance in the Multi-Media routine. If we compare these results the upcoming Core i7-8700K is 24% faster than a Core i7-5820K, which is also a hexa-core part.

In addition the benchmark unveils that the upcoming six cores mainstream CPU is 2% faster than the Core i7-6900K which features ten cores. However we haven't all the details regarding the Z370 test setup that have been used, for example the DDR4 memory ran at unknown speeds while we have DDR4-3000 for our testing.
