The X370 Gaming M7 ACK from MSI is a high-end motherboard that comes with a few interesting features. Compared to X370 XPower Gaming Titanium, the Gaming M7 ACK should be a bit cheaper but still pack a bunch of features. At a first glance the X370 Gaming M7 ACK looks very similar to the Intel Z270 chipset.
Like the Intel model the X370 Gaming M7 ACK is based on an ATX form factor, yet this time MSI is using all the space available on the PCB. There is RGB backlight underneath the PCH cooler and of the three full-sized PCIe slots two have been equipped with steel-reinforcements.
In the case of storage connectivity there are six SATA-III ports and all of them have been angled. Apart from that you get two M.2 slots allowing the installation of differently sized SSDs. The first M.2 slot is placed in the middle of the motherboard while the second one is in the bottom area. Both SSDs can be placed below MSI’s heatspreader for M.2 SSDs, which meanwhile goes by the name FROZR. Regarding form factor 22110 drives are supported. The M.2 Shield FROZR is an improved version of the previous model and it's linked to the heatsink on the motherboard.
Like with the more expensive X370 XPower Gaming Titanium there is also a plastic I/O cover, which received RGB lighting. So far MSI has not revealed details on pricing and availability regarding their Gaming M7 ACK, in our opinion this motherboard might costs around 200 Euro.
