AOC unveils PDS241 and PDS241 displays

Cables hidden inside the monitor stand

AOC has expanded its monitor lineup with two new models featuring a 24-inch and a 27-inch panel. Both monitors are based on 1920 x 1080 (FullHD) resolution, 8-bit color support and an IPS panel. Furthermore both displays come with a feature that allows you to tuck the cables away inside the monitor stand.

As we already mentioned the PDS241 monitor has been equipped with a 24-inch panel, while the PDS271 features 27-inch panel. Both displays support 1920 x 1080 (FullHD) and they feature IPS panels. There is only a HDMI 1.4a connector on these two displays.

According to AOC, there are two cables that many system builders aren't happy to show all the time: the video cable and the power cable. To address this, AOC has created an asymmetrical stand and an adapter that allows you to connect the cables. This way the cables are not visible.

The contrast ratio is 50'000'000:1, the brightness is 250 cd/m2 and there is a 5ms response time (GTG). In terms of looks the PDS241 and PDS241 come with a thin bezel and a silver stand. Both monitors should become available shortly in Europe. At the moment the 24-inch PDS241 sells for $200 dollars and the 27-inch PDS271 goes for $250 dollars.
