It looks like Lenovo is going to sell a new high-end gaming notebook. The company has just launched the so called Legion Y920 Gaming Notebook, which comes with a 17.3-inch, Full HD screen with IPS panel and NVIDIA G-Sync technology. Apart from that the rest of the specs are pretty interesting as well.
Featuring a Full HD display with IPS panel, which on top of that supports NVIDIA G-SYNC makes for an intriguing combination and allows for smooth gaming. Diving into the specifications a little bit deeper we find a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 mobile GPU with 8GB of GDDR5 memory. There is also an unlocked Intel Core i7-7820HK unlocked CPU, 16GB of DDR4 memory, a 512GB NVMe PCI-e SSD and a 1TB SATA HDD.
The Legion Y920 is Lenovo's first gaming laptop with a mechanical keyboard, furthermore it also packs RGB backlighting. Looking at the exterior there isn't an aluminum unibody but it's made out of ABS plastic. It weighs in at 4.6Kg and measures 425 x 315 x 36mm. Speaking about the connectivity options we can see four USB3.0 Type-A port, one Thunderbolt port, HDMI, RJ-45, DisplayPort and mini-Jack headphone out.
Due to the sheer weight of the Y920, which as we mentioned is 6.4kg this is not really what we’d call portable anymore.
According to Lenovo, the new Legion Y920 Laptop starts at €2599 (VAT included) and is available from later this month.
