ASUS adds ROG X370-F Strix Gaming motherboard

Based on ATX form factor

The ASUS ROG X370-F Strix Gaming is another AMD AM4 motherboard that should help filling gaps in the ASUS AM4 lineup. So far there are only three X370 motherboards from ASUS, which are the Prime X370-Pro, the ROG Crosshair VI Hero and the ROG Crosshair VI Hero AC. Compared to the ROG Crosshair VI Hero, the ROG X370-F Strix Gaming should be cheaper yet still pack quite a few features.

The ASUS ROG STRIX X370-F Gaming comes with a RGB backlight underneath the plastic cover and furthermore there are steel reinforcements on two full-sized PCIe slot. In general the layout is quite simple. In total there are three full-sized PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slots and two PCIe 2.0 x1 slots.

In the storage department we find eight SATA ports and all of them have been angled. Apart from that you get one M.2 slot allowing the installation of differently sized SSDs. The M.2 slot is placed in the bottom part of the motherboard and it’s compatible with 22110 units. Looking for additional features we find ASUS ROG SupremeFX onboard audio solution, support for USB 3.1, a high-quality power design and a good mix of connectors at the I/O panel.

This particular board should be placed somewhere between the mid-range and the high-end market segment, in the case of X370, and also in general we think it could be an interesting choice. So far ASUS has not revealed details on pricing and availability on their ASUS ROG X370-F Strix Gaming but we are sure we will get to know more during upcoming Computex 2017.
