Fractal Design unveils Celsius S24 and S36 CPU AiOs
Two new CLC coolers
A few years ago, Fractal Design introduced the Kelvin lineup which was based on an expandable design. Now with the Celsius series, the Swedish manufacturer is ready to introduce an improved version. The Celsius S24 and Celsius S36 use 240mm (S24) or 360mm (S36) radiators with integrated fan hubs and standard G1/4" threaded fittings so that you can easily expand the loop to include another waterblock.
The Fractal Design Celsius S24 and the Fractal Design Celsius S36 all-in-one water coolers are a refresh of the former Kelvin S24 and S36. Like with the previous generation, Fractal Design offers two versions while one features a 240mm and the other a 360mm radiator as well as either two or three 120mm fans. Both coolers are compatible with all modern sockets from AMD (including AM4) and Intel (including LGA2011-v3 and LGA1151).
The new liquid coolers offer two fan speed modes. The automatic mode adjusts the fan speed based on the temperature sensors, while in PWM mode the fans receive the rotation speeds directly from the motherboard. Fractal's included fans belong to their Dynamic X2 family and should provide plenty of airflow without making a lot of noise.
Fractal offers a five-year warranty on these units. The Celsius coolers aren't on stores yet but the S24 should be priced $109 US, while the bigger S36 will cost just $119 US.
