MSI introduces GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk EK X GPUs

With a pre-installed EK water block

MSI has introduced their new GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk EK X graphics card and it comes with a liquid cooling block from EK Water Blocks. Compared to the EK-FC1080 GTX Ti, the water block that you can find on the GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk EK X has been changed and it comes with both MSI and EK logos on the block itself and a custom MSI backplate.

With the water block covering the entire graphics card it simultaneously cools the GPU, the VRAM as well as the VRMs. The base of the monoblock is made from nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while there is a an acrylic glass top. The MSI GTX 1080 Ti Hawk EK X packs a significant factory overclock. While the GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition works at 1480MHz/1582MHz Core/Boost frequencies, the factory-overclocked MSI GTX 1080 Ti Hawk EK X clocks with 1569MHz/1683MHz Core/Boost. Due to the good cooler and the factory overclock, the MSI GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk EK X should provide very good gaming performance.

The card needs two 8-pin PCIe power connectors from a power supply. Regarding connectors we find two DisplayPorts 1.4, two HDMI 2.0b connectors and one dual-link DVI port. Right now the new MSI GTX 1080 Ti Sea Hawk EK X is available on Geizhals for 691 Euro.
