Microsoft has announced their new Surface laptop via Twitter. The new laptop will get a 13.5" screen with 2256 x 1504 resolution and several different models are going to be available. Apart from that the rest of the specs are pretty interesting as well.
The Microsoft Surface laptop is a 13.5-inch ultrabook which is available with a 2256 x 1506 panel and narrow bezel design. Thanks to the almost borderless display and the slim profile, this makes it ultra portable despite it’s a 13.5-inch model. The new Surface laptop will get Windows 10 S, which is Microsoft’s cloud version of Windows 10. The OS runs Windows apps only and you can't install other applications, which would usually run on Windows win32. The new Surface laptop weighs 1.25 Kg and it’s 1.5 centimeters slim at the rear and 1 centimeter at the front.
So far there four different models have been announced ranging from 1149 Euro to 2499 Euro. The cheapest packs an Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB of memory and 128GB SSD. The top tier model features an Intel Core i7 CPU with 16GB of memory and 512GB SSD. So far there aren't any more details regarding the specifications, but due to the slim design and the price we believe that the Surface laptop packs an ULV processors (-U). Although the Surface laptop is designed for Windows 10 S operating system, it can be upgraded towards Windows 10 Pro but at an extra cost.
