Philips has expanded its monitor lineup with an ultra-wide model, featuring a 34-inch panel with 3440 x 1440 resolution and a VA panel. According to Philips the display covers 117 percent of the Adobe RGB color space, giving this display great colour reproduction.

As we already mentioned the 349X7FJEW monitor has been equipped with a 34-inch panel, 1800R curvature and 3440 x 1440 pixel resolution. On the display there is one DisplayPort connector and one HDMI 2.0 port. The DisplayPort and the HDMI 2.0 port support refresh rates between 40 and 100Hz at the given resolution. In the case of the HDMI 1.4 port 40 to 60Hz are supported. In other words this display offers a wide range dynamic refresh rate. Furthermore the panel comes with a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and 300 cd/m2 brightness. Philips is marketing this display for gamers and the fact that the panel supports FreeSync certainly adds to that.

On top of the convincing specs there is a very well-built frame, which allows for tilt and height adjustment. Furthermore it is compatible with VESA mounts (100 mm) making this display ideal for multi-monitor configurations if required. In addition to the HDMI and DisplayPort connectors there are also a three-way USB 3.0 splitter and built-in 5w speakers.
