AMD Radeon RX 570/580 Review Roundup

Custom models already available

During the past few weeks we have published several leaks and rumors about the upcoming AMD RX 500 series. AMD has revealed two new graphics cards yesterday and the first reviews are already out. Several tech sites have tested the two new flagship models from AMD and it looks like the performance is not too shabby. So far the RX 580, compared to the RX 480, is between 5 and 10% quicker and the card is supposed to be suitable for playing AAA titles at FHD or WQHD.

The Radeon RX 570 and RX 580 are basically no more than a rebrand of AMD’s RX 470 and RX 480. With this new series of graphics cards, AMD has slightly increased the performance of their Polaris based cards while at the same time power consumption has been reduced.

According to Computer Base where the reference models were tested, the AMD Radeon RX 580 delivers up to 10% more performance compared to the Radeon RX 480. Compared to the NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB, the new AMD Radeon RX 580 is up to 5% quicker (on average) at WQHD and UHD resolutions. Furthermore, speaking about performances, the AMD Radeon RX 570 is right between the AMD Radeon R9 390 and the NVIDIA GTX 970. With the factory-overclocked graphics cards you can expect a little improvement on both cards (1-2% more performance) but not a miracle.

At the moment there are already several custom models available on Geizhals. Following you can find our roundup on all the AMD Radeon RX 570/580 reviews that are out there:
