Palit has shown two new graphics cards, which are based on the new flagship GP102 chip from NVIDIA. Right after the announcements of the JetStream and the Super JetStream, Palit unveiled two more graphics cards, which go by the names GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GameRock Premium 11GB and GameRock 11GB.
Looking at the cards a little bit closer we see a heatsink that comes with a dense aluminum fin stack and several heatpipes. The metal shroud has been painted blue and on the flipside there is a backplate. What's interesting about the GTX 1080 Ti GameRock Premium 11GB and GameRock 11GB is the massive cooler which is rather thick, measuring 2.5 slots. Furthermore Palit introduces a new feature called “TurboJET4” on the new GameRock series. With the TurboJET4 feature, Palit offers dual double-fans with so called anti-vortex design.
According to the manufacturer, this fan layout should help improving the airflow through the fin stack. Compared to the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GameRock Premium provides lower temperature and noise. Both cards are factory-overclocked but the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GameRock Premium is the one with higher frequencies. While the GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition works at 1480MHz/1582MHz Core/Boost frequencies, the factory-overclocked Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GameRock Premium clocks with 1594MHz/1708MHz Core/Boost.
Regarding connectors we find the usual three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, one HDMI 2.0b and one dual-link DVI port. Although the folks over at Videocardz didn't mention any details about the release date, we believe that Palit will release those cards rather sooner than later.
