The B350 Gaming Plus from MSI is an entry-level motherboard that comes with a few interesting features. Compared to the A320 Grenade, which MSI unveiled a few days ago, the Gaming Plus is a sub-120 euro board, that packs quite a few goodies. At a first glance the B350 Gaming Plus offers everything you need for your daily gaming system.
The B350 Gaming Plus is based on an ATX form factor with four DIMM slots. There is red backlight around the ground layer isolation and there is a steel reinforcement on one of the full-sized PCIe slots. In general the layout is quite simple. There are two full-sized PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, two PCIe x1 and two legacy PCI.
In the storage department there are four SATA ports and only two of them have been angled. Apart from that you get one M.2 slot allowing the installation of differently sized SSDs. The M.2 slot is placed in the middle of the motherboard and it’s compatible with 22110 units.
In terms of pricing this particular board is placed somewhere between the entry-level and the mid-range market segment. In the case of the B350 chipset we generally believe that there are some interesting boards based on this chipset. In order to keep the price low, MSI has changed the gigabit Ethernet compared to higher end boards with a model from Realtek. The MSI B350 Gaming Plus will become available during next month for a price around USD $120.
