AMD Ryzen 3 1200 leak

New details are emerging

According to an accidental leak from ASRock, new details on the entry-level AMD Ryzen 3 1200 Processor have surfaced. The chip is supposed to have a base clock frequency of 3.1 GHz with a TDP of 65W. During the next weeks Ryzen 5 might hit the market and right after we might expect the Ryzen 3 series to become available as well.

So far the AMD's Ryzen CPU lineup includes 3 eight-core processors and the pack is led by the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X, followed by the Ryzen 7 1700X and the Ryzen 7 1700. The base clock frequency ranges from 3.0 GHz to 3.6 GHz and all CPUs feature SMT, enabling 16 logical CPUs. Furthermore thanks to the lastest rumors, AMD might upgrade the Ryzen 5 CPU series with four new models based on six-core and quad-core designs.

At the top of the food chain we find the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X which is followed by the Ryzen 5 1600. Both models feature a TDP of 95W, six-cores and SMT will be enabled. The base clock frequency ranges from 3.2 GHz to 3.6 GHz and therefore the boost clock range is 400 MHz. After that we find the AMD Ryzen 5 1500X and the AMD Ryzen 5 1400. These two processors feature four cores and eight threads, with a base clock that ranges between 3.2 GHz and 3.5 GHz. The boost clock is set to 3.4 GHz for the first model and to 3.7 GHz for the second one. Both models feature a TDP of 65W.

According to ASRock’s accidental leak the it can now be expected that the Ryzen 3 1200 CPU, which goes by the model name YD1200BBM4KAE, will feature a base clock of 3.1 GHz and 65W TDP. Regarding availability it’s expected that the launch is going to take place somewhen during the 2nd half of this year.
