A few months ago, during Computex 2016, Phanteks has first shown their upcoming water cooling products. Now, with the launch of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FE graphics card, Phanteks released their Glacier G1080 Ti Founders Edition water blocks which might also be compatible also with the NVIDIA Titan X Pascal.
In the case of the baseplate the G1080 Founders Edition water block Phanteks is using nickel-plated copper. On top of that there is a cover made from acrylic glass that has also receive sandblasted sheet metal bezels.
If you’re thinking about buying one of these coolers you’ll have to be patient until April. By then two versions of the Phanteks Glacier G1080 Ti are going to be available, which are “mirrored chrome” and “satin black”. The price of the PH-GB1080TI_X is set at €149,90.
Since Phanteks already has a selection of GTX 1080/1070 compatible water coolers, which support custom graphics cards, we expect to see similar coolers regarding the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. A few months ago, Phanteks has shown several water blocks which are compatible with ASUS Strix, Gigabyte G1, MSI Gaming and EVGA FTW graphics cards. All of them are available in both “satin black” and “mirror chrome” finish.
