Due to a leak from a Chinese retailer the lineup of upcoming Ryzen CPUs has been spotted. The report shows all the details of the upcoming CPU series featuring models names and specifications including core/thread count, base frequency and even price.
So far the AMD's Ryzen CPU lineup includes 3 eight-core CPUs, 2 six-core CPUs and 4 quad-core CPUs. The pack is led by the AMD Ryzen R7 1800X, followed by the R7 1700X and the R7 1700. The base clock frequency ranges from 3.0 GHz to 3.6 GHz. There are also 2 six-core CPUs: the Ryzen R5 1600X and the R5 1500. Clock speeds of these CPUs range between 3.20 and 3.30 GHz. All SKUs feature SMT, enabling 12 logical CPUs.
Last but not least we find 4 quad-core CPUs that have been split into mid-range (R5 series) and entry-level (R3 series) models. The mid-range quad-core lineup includes the Ryzen R5 1400X and the R5 1300. The entry-level R3 lineup includes the R3 1200X and the R3 1100. The main difference between these two product lines is SMT and the frequency. While the AMD R5 chips come with SMT enabled and a higher frequency the R3 series chips won’t feature SMT and the clock speeds will be lower.
Furthermore all the "X" models feature the Extended Frequency Range (XFR) technology. The prices are quite interesting and close to what we have seen during the past days. The AMD Ryzen R7 1800X CPU is supposed to cost 389 dollars which is almost half of what an Intel Core i7-6900K CPU is setting you back these days. In the table below you can find more details:
Processor Name | Frequency (GHz) | Cache | C/T | Turbo (GHz) | XFR (GHz) | TDP | USD |
R7 1800X | 3.60 | 16 MB | 8/16 | 4.00 | 4.00+ | 95 W | 499 $ |
