ASUS already has a wide portfolio when it comes to graphics cards but that didn’t stop them from launching yet another model. The new card belongs to the Expedition series and it is supposed to deliver solid performance at a competitive price point.
Checking the specs we see that the ASUS Expedition Series GeForce GTX 1070 comes factory-overclocked to 1607MHz/1797MHz Core/Boost clocks, while the GTX 1070 Founders Edition works at 1506MHz/1683MHz Core/Boost frequencies. This decent factory OC, yet not completely over the top. Regarding connectors we find the usual three DisplayPorts 1.4, one HDMI 2.0b connector and one dual-link DVI port.
Checking Geizhals.at we find the card available at a price of 504 Euro. Considering that this should be a budget optimized custom GeForce GTX 1070 this is still a steep price tag. We would have expected ASUS to hit a price point well below 500 Euro.
